My hometown church is another important building where I spent a lot of my time as a child and growing up in high school. I attended most Sundays and Wednesdays here and was even employed under them for about 3 years. I played on a church basketball team with my best friends in the church until my Sophmore year in high school for fun. I was also involved in many volunteer services put on by the church such as city-wide garages sales, working at the donation center, and even helping to repair needs around the church. A fun fact is when the church renovated and added the new commons and auditorium, I was allowed to walk through the construction zone because my sister’s soccer coach was the contractor. He taught me about all the things he was doing to make the auditorium bigger and sound better for the choir which I found very interesting.  Even though the construction was finished early in 2012 its designs are still modern looking in comparison with today’s ideas.
