Manh Nguyen-OCCC-blog post 2

Oklahoma city community college was the first college I attended before transfer to OU. I studied there for two years and had some good memories. I Remembered I was a little worried when I first go there, but the people and professors were very nice, they made me feel better. I met my friends over there and we did stupid things together. Somehow I always feel nostalgic whenever I think about it. It’s a good place to study and make friends.

An Nguyen- OCCC- Blog Post 2

This building is building of engineer department at OCCC. This building has very straight and long hall inside, and there are glass wall on both side of the hall which make the hall very bright and open from the outside. This was the place that I spent the most time when I was in OCCC. I like it because it is very quiet here, people usually enter the school by the main entrance and do not know about this place. There is a big restroom right at the entrance, the parking lot always have space. This is the place that I feel relax and enjoy the most. I studied here, ate here. This place is also safest place in OCCC because there is a police department right next to this building and this is the only way that officer enter the main campus, they usually hang out here too. Every it rains, it remind me of the time that I was still in OCCC, it was soo convenient that you can park my car right in-front of the door and walk right in the building.

An Nguyen- Pho Seven- Blog Post 1

This is the picture of the internal space of the Pho restaurant in Southside OKC that I like the most. This building is located at the corner of a street with very open parking space This building small but have reasonable space inside. The red color of the wall make it feel really warm inside. Every time I think about this place, it reminds me of the time when I first came to the US. it was very cold winter time and this is the place that I would come to eat everyday. The people here are mostly Vietnamese, so this place also make me feel like I am actually in the restaurant in Vietnam

Blog One / / Emelie Ramirez // Soumaya Museum

The Museo Soumaya is located in Mexico City, Mexico and is named after Soumaya Doumit. The project was designed and overseen by Fernando Romero and was funded by Carlos Slim. Museo Soumaya is a privately owned museum which I had the opportunity of visiting two years ago. I was in awe of traveling from a pueblo to the city and how the funds towards buildings drastically change.

It was evident that this museum is one of luxury and is surrounded by tourists. I found it incredible that the outside was skewed and the inside also followed the pattern because it had a circular ramp. The outside was remarkable and walking through it was even more insane because of how the simplistic design complimented the building in its entirety. I also liked the message about how Carlos Slim had constructed the Museo Soumaya in honor of his wife.

Manh Nguyen-Imperial Place, Hue-blog post 1

The Imperial Palace, Hue

So last Christmas, me and my family went back to Vietnam to visit my family, I had the chance to visit the imperial city in Hue city. It’s the place for King and Queen live long time ago, it’s like the Forbidden palace in China but smaller. I would say it’ one of the most beautiful place I have ever visited. The palace is so huge it took me almost a day to just walk around. When I was there, I was very impressed by the buildings and big walls.

John Daniel- 10GYM East Tulsa- Blog 1

Tulsa gym 10GYM - East Tulsa

My first blog is over this 10GYM in East Tulsa. As you can see there is nothing brilliant about it’s architecture as it is just a big box of a building. It is located in a little shopping center next to a thrift store. I have been a member of this inexpensive corporate chain gym for about 5 years. It holds meaning to me as I look back to when I first started going and notice how so much has changed.  I believe it serves as a good reminder to myself of how much I have changed in the past 5 years. This gym building reminds me of the physical strength that I have gained over time but also how much I have changed as an individual.

Blog 3 – Price College – Joyce Shau

This is my first semester here at Price College. I was pretty overwhelmed by this building at first because I thought it was pretty huge compared to the other school I went to before coming here. However, as the semester went on, I felt that the architecture and the atmosphere of the building was pretty nice. The architecture of Price College has an old style to it, but at the same time it has some modernistic characteristics to it. I love coming to Price because not only does most of my classes meet here, it gives me the sense to work hard and learn more about major at the college.

Blog 2 – Chesapeake Arena – Joyce Shau

I have never been to sporting event until 5 years ago, when I went to my first Thunder game at Chesapeake Arena. I was amazed how big and well built the arena was in person. There was tons of booths and concession stands for food inside and it can house so many people at one time. It had impacted me in a positive way because I got to see a Thunder game and that the architecture was different from what I was used to seeing. It was surreal when I got to go experience my first Thunder game because not only did Thunder win, it got me interested on how people come up with ideas for different buildings.
