This a picture of Hedingham Castle in England. I was around the age of 11 or 12 when I visited it. My dad was stationed in England at RAF Mildenhall for the Air Force. It was the first castle I saw while living there as I seen plenty of others. Being so young, I was in amazement of actually seeing a castle firsthand as I had only seen them in the movies. From a young age, it has inspired me to travel more and see more historic buildings and places. There are many more castles in the world that I would like to go see. I went to many of the big ones in England, and a few in Germany. Living in Europe, gave me the opportunity to experience and see things that many people in this lifetime won’t be able to experience. My dad being in the military gave us that chance. This castle is small compared to a lot of others in the country but for being the first one, it was an eye-opening experience. I wish when we lived over there, that we were able to go and see more historic places but there is just so many. One of the things about the castle that I enjoyed was the inside and all the artifacts on display. I am a history fanatic, and getting to visit this castle and all the other places really made me love history even more.
