The coolest thing about the house is the cube design. The house is legit made out of two cubes one cube for just the living room alone. Then the other cube is left for everything else, which is the living room, all the bedrooms, kitchen and dining rooms. The two cube are spilt in half too so its like there are really four cubes, but it initially started with just two. Rear Terrace | Architecture, House in the woods, Architecture design

The Fisher House is famously known and no one actually lives there now it is only for tourist to visit. There has been nothing else like it build before and it is truly one of a kind building. The Fisher House is somewhere i would really like to visit it is so interesting and has alot of character to it.

The coolest thing about the arch is that it started building in two separate places the two ends on the legs started separately. If the legs were to have been even 1/64th of a inch off they would not have been able to connect at the top and the building would’ve been ripped down. 18 Interesting Facts About The Gateway Arch

The height of the arch is 630 feet high and it was predicted that 13 people would die in the building process of the arch. The arch is known as the highest arch world wide. Blog 2- Kenzie Heggie- Agbar Tower- Jean Nouvel

Torre-agbar2.jpg

The Agbar Tower built in 1999 in Barcelona. It is a 38 story skyscraper and it is most famously known for its unusual shape, most tourist however visit the tower not only to see the building but to also look at the amazing view, which is another thing that the building is most famously known for. Unfortunately the tower has been shut off to the public and no tourist are allowed to the top anymore.File:Torre Agbar.jpg

The thing i find most interesting, since i have never been able to see the view, is what the building is made out of. The height of the building is 142 meters, made out of only three things, concrete, steel and windows. The building is made out of 250 tons of steel, 25,000 tons on concrete and 4,500 window panes. Torre Agbar

It blows my mind that a world wide known building known for its shape is only made out fo three things. Making it look the way it does, shape the way it is, sparkle and glissin in the sun the way it does too. I like knowing that something so beautiful is made out of something so simple and it took three simple things to create it.

Blog 2- Kenzie Heggie- Leaning Tower of Pisa

Leaning Tower of Pisa - Wikipedia

The Leaning Tower of Pisa built in Italy in August 9, 1173 and designed by Bonanno Pisano. The tower took over two centuries to build and officially opened in 1399. Highest side of the building is 56.67  meter high and the lowest side of the building is 55.86 meters high, but the buildings original high was 60 meters high. Leaning tower of Pisa has become slightly straighter | Geoengineer.org

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a world wide known building. The tower is known for its magnificent lean. The tower was not originally suppose to lean but by the time the building reached the third story of construction is began the lean. The lean started to occur due to how soft the soil beneath it was. One of the most interesting things about it in my opinion is that over time the tower has not only leaned more and more but it also has switched the way it leans as well. Visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy, at Sunset | Sand In My ...

The tower look simple when you take the lena away and then when you add it, it is something that give the building character, makes it unique. makes it different and makes it stand out. The building reminds me that sometimes it is something so simple, so natural, so unpredictable that makes something stand out, wether it be a building, a place or a person.

CenturyLink Field

Century link holds so much beauty not only is it a place to bring the community together, put on some American football, put on some soccer but it is also a place that resembles that anything is possible. There are built in reminders all over the stadium showing past people or accomplishments of old NFL players, soccer players, coaches, teams and a Super bowl Championship banner. Seahawks cancel gameday shuttle from Eastside to CenturyLink Field ...

The stadium also has a built in sound meter measuring how loud the stadium gets. which i think is the coolest thing about the building. It shows how we can all come together and do something, how each voice matters, what we can accomplish when we work together. century link is known to be the loudest stadium in the country. Thats the true beauty of it all is that a stadium can bring that many people together to accomplish something so amazing.

The Space Needle designed by Edward Carlson, John Graham Jr. and Victor Steinbrueck opened April 21, 1962. The Space Needle took exactly 400 days to build and had cost $4.5 million dollars to build. Every year there are over 1.3 million people who visit the Space Needle. The Space Needle stands 605 feet up in the air and is one of the most beautiful and unique building in Seattle Washington. Image result for space needle

I have lived in Washington  my whole life and I have only visited the space Needle twice. The reason fro that is it a place you an only visit so often or else the true beauty of the building fades away with each time you visit. The reason I love the space needle is so beautiful to me is not only because of the pure intelligence of the building itself, or the amazing  views surrounding it but because of the idea that once in you get into the elevator on the first floor it takes only 43 seconds to reach the top floor which is 520 feet int he air. Image result for space needle

The idea of thinking I can go from zero feet off the ground to 520 feet off the ground in 43 seconds hits me deep. It opened my eyes to realizing that in 43 seconds anything ca happen, you could be up in the air, you could change your mind about something, you could meet someone or your life could change. The Space Needle is famous for those 43 seconds and i completely understand why it truly is incredible and it has more meaning that what it is doing or given credit for.

Disneyland is known to be the happiest place on earth. I have been to Disneyland over 12 times now and every time I have gone it has been just as fun as the first time. It has been a place that i feel like a little kid again and place i can forget about all my issues in life, let go and just have fun.  Disneyland reminds me I am and can constantly grow as a person. Considering Disneyland started with only 15 attractions and now has 51 attractions. Image result for disney land

Disneyland had brought me more joy than any place in the world. It reminds me that no matter what is going on in my life there is always something bigger than me, something bigger out there.  Disneyland is a reminder to be happy cause whatever i am going through i will get through it and it will pass.

Blog, Kenzie Heggie- Oscar Niemeyer, Ibirapuera Auditorium

Ibirapuera Auditorium designed by Oscar Niemeyer located in Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo to allow musical spectacle presentations. The Auditoriums constriction began in 2002 and was completed by 2005 consisted of 7,000 square feet. The auditorium has been a host for grammies, fashion shows, Americas top model, and many more. When the building was designed it was meant to have possessed volumetric simplicity being made by a single block formed into a trapezoid, which ended up becoming a triangle. Image result for Ibirapuera Auditorium

One of the main reasons I chose this building is it caught my attention with the long red mental piece just sticking out of the side. The long red mental piece is actually a marquee, and it is a metal that is painted red. It actually covers the main access of the building and is what gives identity to the building. The metal piece characterizes it and shows it is different from other buildings. The form and color of this piece of the  building have transformed the branding of the auditorium and act as an architectural logo. which it is called officially the Labareda – Portuguese for flame.Image result for Ibirapuera Auditorium

It amazes me that such a simple and plain piece of metal can give a building so much meaning, so much purpose and so much character. But it does make sense since the when I first saw the building thats what stood out to me. Its amazing what Oscar Niemeyer did to put so much meaning into something so small.

Blog, Kenzie Heggie- Bruce Goff, Boston Avenue Methodist Church

The Boston Avenue Methodist Church designed by Bruce Goff in 1929 located in Tulsa Oklahoma. The church is an example of art deco which is characterized by precise, boldly delineated geometric shapes and strong colors. The Boston Avenue church is to be said the most unique church in the world and holds the strongest look of art deco, even though it was built 70 years after that time period.Image result for Boston Avenue Methodist Church

A very unique thing the church stands for are the symbols and saying that are actually located in the walls, stained glass, carved wood, and metal. Most methodist churches tend to be poor and so the Boston Avenue Methodist Church and so when the church was mad they did ask the architectures to include some of their churches beliefs into the actual building, however in doing so they made sure to be conservative in how they portrayed it to the outside world, so they weren’t flaunting their money. Which Bruce Goff and the other architecture involved did a phenomenal job of allowing the church to do.

I am not a big church person but of all the churches I have seen in my life this one is the most beauty and holds the most value on the inside and outside. You can see the passion the designer such as Bruce Goff had when creating this beautiful building for this specific religion.
